{"id":135,"date":"2017-04-22T13:34:55","date_gmt":"2017-04-22T13:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eraitech.net\/src\/?p=135"},"modified":"2017-11-29T12:20:33","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T12:20:33","slug":"donec-odio-quisque-volutpat-mattis-eros","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/srccont.ae\/?p=135","title":{"rendered":"Job satisfaction on the rise among GCC construction workers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong><em>Construction Week<\/em>\u2019s 2017 Salary Survey registered a 10% year-on-year rise in job satisfaction as more construction companies received favourable ratings from their employees.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When asked to rate how satisfied they were with their employers \u2013 with one being the lowest and 10 being the highest rating<!--more--> \u2013 respondents to\u00a0<em>Construction Week<\/em>\u2019s 2016 Salary Survey reported an average rating of six.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, the mean average rating among 2017\u2019s participants climbed to more than seven out of 10.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this encouraging increase in job satisfaction, construction-related recruitment in the\u00a0<abbr class=\"glossarizer_replaced\" title=\"\" data-hasqtip=\"1\">GCC<\/abbr>\u00a0looks\u00a0<abbr class=\"glossarizer_replaced\" title=\"\" data-hasqtip=\"2\">set<\/abbr>\u00a0to remain as dynamic as ever. Just over half of this year\u2019s respondents (52%) intend to change jobs within the next 12 months \u2013 the same proportion that registered their intention to move in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, based on the responses of this year\u2019s participants, the rise of sectoral brain drain appears unlikely. Even including those who plan to seek employment elsewhere, more than 85% of the 2017 cohort expect to remain in the\u00a0<abbr class=\"glossarizer_replaced\" title=\"\" data-hasqtip=\"3\">GCC<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n<p>Every year,\u00a0<em>Construction Week\u00a0<\/em>invites the\u00a0<abbr class=\"glossarizer_replaced\" title=\"\" data-hasqtip=\"4\">GCC<\/abbr>\u2019s construction community to complete a brief questionnaire in a bid to find out how their wages compare with those of their peers.
